And on Sunday, Bruno Mars debuted his new team-up with Anderson .Paak as Silk Sonic, while the duo wowed with a performance of their new song Leave The Door Open at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California.
Mars and .Paak, both 35, lit up the night in ’70s-inspired rust-colored suits when they took the stage for the smooth R&B track after the Grenade crooner personally requested to perform at the event.

Last week, Bruno posted an open letter to the Recording Academy via Twitter, writing, ‘If you can see it in your hearts to allow two out of work musicians to perform at your show, we would really appreciate it.
We just released a song and could really use the promotion right now.
‘We haven’t been able to perform for a while and we just want to sing,’ he later added.
‘We’ll send in an audition tape and take as many COVID tests as we need to. I promise we won’t be extra. We just really want a gig again.
‘I hope you’ll consider this request and give us the opportunity to shine.

The sparkly presentation saw the two singers against a black and sparkly backdrop, with retro split-screens seeing them backed by supporting vocalists.
