President/Director/ Founder: Retired eight years from owner-operated general contractor business; continues to maintain current Class A license; Involved eight years in prison ministry work including drug and alcohol rehabilitation; Created/Directed men’s discussion/support group with primarily ex-felons having ‘addictive’ personalities. Mr. Collum was manager and partner owner of a restaurant and sole-owner/manager of a catering business for 30 years; Current volunteer ministries (bible study/visitations) include senior living and home-bound persons in Alexandria and Suffolk, VA; Past Social outreach Chair Good Shepherd Church. Volunteer with Mission of Hope in Smithfield, VA, a program to house and feed the homeless; On-tap speaker for VA Dept of Corrections: three presentations given to Alexandria, VA Parole Board/Saudi Arabia Delegations; one presentation given at Dillwyn CC’s Transitional Program members, and one seminar/workshop to Dept of Correction’s staff and personnel regarding life after incarceration. Facilitator for Jobs for Life, a sixteen session Job readiness program and AARP Finance 50+, a credit and debt management program for the marginalized of the community community;Oasis Connections Certified Instructor offering computer courses form basic to intermediate.
