Jennifer Branham is the Program Administrator for Opportunities for Change and has served on its Board of Directors as secretary since 2014. Jennifer is committed to OFC because of her own personal experience with her youngest son and the services that OFC provides to him and the community. Her dedication is built on “connecting people to resources.” When she isn’t providing services to OFC, Jennifer is a consultant and business owner; she is also a coach and a trainer for individuals and organizations who want to start and develop nonprofit organizations. As a consultant, she specializes in helping organizations obtain their tax exempt status and training them in proposal writing and capacity building.

Jennifer is involved in numerous community activities and serves as a Ministry Leader at Covenant Community Church in Suffolk, Virginia. She has served on countless boards and committees and she has received numerous awards for her outstanding community involvement, leadership and civic engagement. She is the recipient of the 1999 recipient of a HUD Best Practice Award; a 2002 recipient of Inside Business “Top Forty Under Forty,” and a 2009 graduate of Suffolk Leadership Academy. Currently, Jennifer is a member and the chair of the Southeastern Local Human Rights Committee; she serves as an Administrator for three local nonprofits; she is a mobile notary; and a certified life skills and customer service trainer.

Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Jennifer enjoys helping people, coordinating events and writing. She is the mother of three adult children and six grandchildren, with the seventh one due in two weeks. She moved to Suffolk with her husband Jerome in 2006, and thereafter became the city’s Youth Outreach Coordinator in 2008, leading several initiatives to STOP the Violence in the city. In 2013, Jennifer left the city and re-launched her business, DAAU Enterprise, LLC. She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Saint Leo University and is currently completing her MBA at Liberty University. Her ultimate vision is to own several office locations that offers co-working space for small business owners and nonprofit organizations.
